Romeo and Juliet
-A School Tour-
By William Shakespeare
Edited by Whistling in the Dark

Student Testimonials!

The Fall of 2010 proved to be an exciting time for Whistling in the Dark, culminating in this partnership with The Arts Initiative, Ohio State University, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.  The three heads of WitD went to public schools on every side of Columbus in conjunction with the RSC's "Stand Up For Shakespeare" initiative. Pictures to come!

Summer
Shipwrecked!
By Donald Margulies
Directed by Kal Poole

Based on a TRUE STORY, Shipwrecked! An Entertainment. The Amazing Adventures of Louis De Rougemont (as Told by Himself) is a rip-roaring tale of tale high-seas exploits, complete with giant sea turtles, flying wombats, a man-eating octopus and Queen Victoria herself! Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies, Shipwrecked! is an amazing story that reminds us of the simple power of live theatre, and many who saw it claimed it to be the best Columbus theatrical event of the year.  Whistling in the Dark Theatre Co. performed this epic piece of theatre in the South Campus Gateway during the summer of 2010, unveiling our new “environmentally sustainable” theatre space, The Green Room. The Green Room is supported by the Arts Initiative at Ohio State and South Campus Gateway and currently houses all non-touring Whistling events.

Press Alert!! - WITD's production of SHIPWRECKED named one of the ten best productions of 2010!

2009

Woman in Black (Returns!!)

Our annual Halloween show was a great success, judging from the screams and gasps from the audience.  Thanks to all our fans who came out to get spooked with us.  And a very special thanks to Jessie at Wild Goose for taking us all on the (I-can't-believe-this-is-true-I'm-totally-creeped-out-that-all-these-ghosts-live-in-my-town) ghost tour.

Fundraiser Spectacular

Dwayne , Kal, and Scott  stepped out of the shadows to unveil Whistling in the Dark’s new season and asked for your help.  With a keg of beer from Columbus Brewing Company and a gaggle of talented Columbus artists, we had a great party and raised enough money to jump-start the season.

Thanks for your support, and for joining us for two nights of fantastic entertainment!

Couldn't make it?  It's not too late to contribute to the cause.  Just shoot us an email.
